The Sugar Camp Town Hall is the local gathering spot for residents, a multi-use facility which hosts town board meetings, Lions club functions, wedding receptions, private parties, fundraising events, and serves as the community polling place during election time.
Built in 1962, on land donated by Frito Lay, Inc., the Town Hall is a part of the Sugar Camp Complex which is home to the Volunteer Fire Department and EMT's and Medic Xl, Lions Park Playground, softball fields, soccer fields, lighted tennis and basketball courts, a walking trail, a banked snowmobile track for vintage races, and an 18 hole disc golf course.
Senior meals are served at the Sugar Camp Town Hall every Tuesday & Thursday at 11:30 am by the Oneida County Department on Aging for a small donation. The hall is also available to rent for seating up to 250 people. The town hall features a full service kitchen to prepare or assemble catered meals, complimented by a lighted stage for live music, and a 40 foot bar to serve refreshments. For smaller gatherings. there is a Pavillion available that is located in a more private setting. Also there is a classroom in the fire shed that can be used for small meetings or classes. All of the buildings on the Town Hall property are non-smoking.
